How to Onboard a Traveller (UK)

Learn how to onboard a traveller in Melon, complete their profile, and use the Impersonate feature to activate their account and enable travel bookings.

Before a traveller can book or manage travel in Melon, they must complete the onboarding process. If the traveller is unable to complete this themselves, a Melon Admin can finish the onboarding on their behalf using the Impersonate feature.

Onboard a Traveller as an Admin

  1. Select the Hey Menu in the top-right corner of Melon.

  2. Open the Admin Portal.

  3. Navigate to the Users tab.

  4. Search for and select the traveller you would like to onboard.

  5. Review and complete any required profile information.

  6. Select Impersonate at the top of the traveller's profile.

  7. You will now be logged into Melon as that traveller and can complete their onboarding process.

Once onboarding is complete, the traveller will be ready to access Melon and start making bookings.


Stop Impersonating a Traveller

When you have finished onboarding the traveller:

  1. Select the Hey Menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Click Stop Impersonating.

You will be returned to your own Melon profile and Admin account.

Heads Up! When impersonating a traveller, Melon treats you as that user. This includes the Help Centre and support channels.

Any:

  • Chat conversations

  • Help requests

  • Email communications

will be associated with the traveller's profile and sent to the traveller, not the Admin performing the onboarding.
