To modify a rail journey, you can change the date and/or time, but not the departure or arrival stations.
The process involves seven simple steps, though availability of changes depends on your ticket type and its associated rules.
From your Melon homepage, go to My Trips.
Select the trip you wish to amend.
Click the arrow ( > ) to view additional options.
Choose Modify Train to begin making your changes.
Select which leg(s) of the journey you wish to change by the relevant check box(es). You can then input your new travel dates and times required. Once completed, click Continue to see your updated options.
Select your preferred new option(s), then proceed to Checkout. This process is identical to making a new booking, and any required company data will be automatically carried over.
Once your changes are confirmed, you can view the updated booking and access your tickets via the My Trips tab or the Upcoming Trips section on your homepage.
If you have selected the E-Ticket option, make sure to download an updated copy to your phone!
Available Ticket Types
When amending a booking, the train options shown will depend on the ticket type and the validity rules of your original ticket.
Melon will automatically display only the options that are valid for the selected leg and fare type.
