Before cancelling, check what type of ticket you’ve booked as this affects refund eligibility.

UK Train Ticket Types

  • Advance – Cheapest fares. Fixed trains only. Non-refundable. Changes must be made before your scheduled departure (fee applies).

  • Off-Peak – Travel outside peak hours. Refundable and changeable (fees apples).

  • Anytime – Fully flexible. Refundable and changeable (fees apply).

Cancelling an E-Ticket

  1. Locate the trip you wish to cancel in your Upcoming Trips area of the Melon front page.

  2. Click Cancel Train on your trip.

  3. A pop-up will show refund details (including any cancellation fee).

  4. Click “Yes, Confirm Cancellation” to proceed. You'll receive a notification that your booking has been cancelled and any refund due will be processed.

Cancellation details will arrive via email within 24 hours, and, the trip will show in your Trip Library as 'Cancelled'.

Cancelling a Ticket on Departure (ToD)

If you haven’t collected the tickets yet:

  • Follow the same steps as for E-Tickets above.

If you’ve already collected the tickets:

  1. A pop-up will instruct you to mail tickets to the provided address for refund processing.

  2. Click "Yes, Confirm Cancellation" to begin the process. You’ll be prompted to send them to: CT Rail Refunds, Corporate Traveller, 4th Floor, 120 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London, SW19 1RH

  3. Your booking is cancelled, and the refund process starts once tickets are received.

The trip will show as 'Cancellation Pending', then update to 'Cancelled' once refund has been processed.
