Booking a European Rail journey with SNCF in Melon is quick and simple - just follow these 8 steps:

1. Start your search

Select ‘Trains’ from the search menu. Enter your departure and arrival stations, travel dates and times, then click ‘Search’.

2. Review and choose your train options

Your search results will display a range of fares and journey options to help you make the best choice.

  • Departure and arrival times: Quickly check when each train leaves and arrives.

  • Duration and stops: See total journey time and the number of stops.

  • Best available fares: Highlights the lowest fare in each class. Click on any fare to see the full ticket rules and restrictions.

Once you’ve selected your train time and fare, you’ll then be able to choose your return journey.

After selecting the best return time and fare, you will be taken to the Checkout page.

On the Checkout page:

3. Confirm journey details

Check all travel details carefully before moving forward.

4. Add any required trip data

Depending on your company’s setup, you may need to add details like cost centre, reason for travel, or project code.

5. Add seating preferences

If available, you can choose preferences like quiet carriage, table seat, direction of travel, or power socket access.

7. Accept terms and conditions

Review the fare conditions, then tick to accept the booking terms of SNCF.

8. Complete your booking

Click ‘Checkout’ to confirm. You’ll receive your confirmation and ticket details via email shortly!

Heads up! If your company has an approval process, please be aware that SNCF train bookings are not sent for approval, so be sure to obtain pre-approval before confirming your journey!
