Managing Your Train Reservations in Melon

Some changes to your train booking can be made directly in Melon, while others may require assistance from a Travel Manager or the Melonaid Chat. This article explains how to cancel and modify your train reservations.

Canceling a Train Booking

You can cancel your train booking directly in Melon through your itinerary view. This gives you immediate control over the process.

How to cancel your booking:

  1. Navigate to your itinerary via the Melon home page or the Hey Menu under My Trips.

  2. If you have multiple trip components, select the ones you wish to cancel.

  3. Click on your train booking to view its details.

  4. Select the cancel option in the upper right corner.

  5. Choose your preferred refund option (see below) and click Confirm Cancelation.


Refund options:

Depending on the type of ticket purchased, you may be offered one or more of the following:

  • Full refund

  • Partial refund

  • Future travel credit

Important: Not all train tickets are eligible for a refund or future travel credit. Review the fare rules of your ticket carefully before purchasing if there is any chance you may need to cancel or change your reservation


Modifying a Train Booking

At this time, train modifications — such as changing dates, times, or train selections — cannot be made directly in Melon. To make changes, you will need to contact the Melonaid Chat or your Dedicated Travel Manager.

How to request a modification:

  • Use the Modify Train button: Clicking this button in Melon will automatically open the Melonaid Chat and pre-populate your train details, so you don’t have to enter them manually.

  • Contact your Dedicated Travel Manager: Reach out directly and they will handle all the details of rescheduling your journey.
