Creating and Assigning a Policy to a Group (UK)

Quickly apply tailored policy settings to any user group.

As an Admin, you will be able to add or change policy settings within the Policy Dashboard for any group you have in your Groups tab.

If you're setting up a new group from scratch, this is Step 2 of 2:

You can also follow the steps below to update an existing group with a custom policy.

Create or Update a Policy for a Group

To begin click on your Admin portal within the Hey Menu then select the Policy tab

Apply a New Algorithm Preset

  1. Click on the Groups button on the top left to select the User Group you want to apply the new policy to.

  2. Click the Algorithm Settings tab.

  3. Choose either Flight or Hotel and select the required preset from the list.

  4. Click Save.

This will apply the new Algo-tuner setting, which will be reflected in the Recommended Spend for any searches that the user group runs for flights or hotels.

Set Recommended Spend

In the same Policy tab, you can also define how far above the Recommended Spend travellers are allowed to book:

  1. Click on the Recommended Spend tab.

  2. Use the sliders to adjust the threshold for Flights and Hotels.

  3. Choose what action to take if a traveller exceeds this threshold:

  • Visual Guilt – A pop-up warning notifies the user that the fare is over the allowed spend.

  • Manager Notification – Sends an alert to the traveller’s manager after booking, with the trip cost details.
