Melon Mobile - Search & Book Flights (UK)

Where enabled, the Melon Mobile App allows travellers to search, book and manage business travel directly from their mobile device.

Melon Mobile follows the same booking flow as the desktop version of Melon.

Select your travel type, enter your search details, review the available options, then complete your booking.

The options available to you will depend on your company set-up, traveller permissions, supplier restrictions and travel policy.

Starting a booking

All new bookings follow a simple process. The options available to you will depend on your company configuration, traveller permissions, supplier restrictions and travel policy.

  1. Open the Melon Mobile App.

  2. Select the Book tab at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select Flights.


1. Enter your search criteria.

These include:

  • Departure and arrival airports

  • Travel dates

  • Preferred travel times

  • Cabin or class of service

  • Traveller name, if you are booking as a Travel Arranger

Try to be as specific as possible when searching. This helps Melon return the most suitable flight options for your trip.

2. Review you flight options.

Once your results display, check the details carefully before selecting your preferred flight.

Make sure you review:

  • Departure and arrival airports

  • Travel dates and times

  • Flight duration and stopovers

  • Cabin or class of service

  • Fare rules

  • Baggage information, where shown

  • Cancellation or change conditions

  • Policy messages

  • Approval requirements

3. Complete your booking.

Once you are happy with the flight details, continue through to checkout and complete the booking.

If your company has approvals in place, Melon will show the approval requirements during the booking flow. Submit approval bookings as early as possible, as flight prices and availability can change while you are waiting for approval.


Good to know

Booking options may vary by company, so you may not see every travel type in your app.

Your company travel policy and approval process will display during the booking flow where applicable.

Some fares may have restrictions, so always check the fare rules before confirming.

Your profile should be up-to-date before booking, especially your name, contact details and passport information where required.


Search tips

Before you search:

  • Check your traveller profile is up-to-date.

  • Make sure your name matches your passport or valid travel document.

  • Add passport details before booking where required.

  • Enter clear dates, times and airports.

  • Check the traveller name before confirming, especially if you are booking for someone else.

  • Review any policy messages before continuing.

  • Check fare rules, baggage details and cancellation terms.

  • Submit approval bookings as early as possible.

  • Use My Trips to view current, past or cancelled trip details once your booking has been made.
